Ambassadors

Ko Wills is a transgender woman of color, activist and professional makeup artist working in Los Angeles. Talented, motivated and ambitious,  Ko began her career in Indiana , where she developed her beauty skills. She found a sense of pride and fulfillment when her clients would look in the mirror and smile at their transformation.  

Ko moved to Los Angeles in 07, and was determined to work in the competitive industry of makeup artistry and make a name for herself.  She began assisting some of the top makeup artist in the industry and eventually branched out into the scene on her own. 

Ko Wills has worked and been featured in some of the top magazines including Elle, Flaunt and Cosmo. Her celebrity clients include Leighton Meester, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Beyoncé. 

Ko never forgot the feeling of women seeing themselves in the mirror after sitting in her make up chair. As a transgender woman she knew how much those feelings matter to young women at vulnerable stages of transition. Ko is passionate about giving back to her community and has a heart for trans youth and the challenges they face.

Ko is one of the founding members of The Aphrodite Project and serves as its Senior Ambassador, mentoring young trans women and sharing her own journey. As Director of Education Ko leads  Make Up Workshops, plans curriculum and trains instructors.

Billie Lee is a transgender woman, activist, and blogger currently living in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Indiana, Billie graduated from a broadcasting academy in Illinois, where she secured her degree in radio, TV, and film. Knowing that she was ready for bigger things, Billie moved to California, where she began her journey as a stylist, working with many both in and outside of the entertainment industry.

After finding success as a stylist, Billie wanted to move on and create a place where people could find peace in their daily lives among the hectic city. She soon opened an organic cafe, which she owned and operated for two years before she sold it in order to move forward with her dream. 

Billie has since focused on motivating and inspiring others as a lifestyle blogger and TV host. After Tinder introduced their new "transgender" feature, Billie has been a spokesperson and model for their movement.

 Currently, she is on the board of Trans Life LA, a non-profit, which helps bring health and wellness to the trans community in the area. You may also recognize Billie from her recent feature in Buzzfeed videos. She continues to work with Buzzfeed and others in the trans community to create videos that aim to educate on trans issues.
